Choosing the right flight instructor for your instrument training is a crucial decision. It can mean the difference between getting your rating or not. Many pilots start instrument training without ever completing it. Aircraft flight training, coupled with the use of our Redbird Flight Simulator decrease cost and improve proficiency . This will drastically increase your chance of completing an instrument rating course.

Instument Rating Cost

Flight Instruction $50.00 per hour
Piper Cherokee 140 rental $150.00 per hour
Redbird Flight Simulator rental $35.00 per hour

Most students can complete the instrument rating with 40 hours of flight instruction. The Redbird Simulator can be used for 10 hours of the 40 hour needed.

Prerequisites

Proof of U.S. Citizenship
Private or Commercial Pilot Certificate
Current FAA Medical Certificate
Airman Knowledge Test Report (Instument written)
40 hours Cross County Time
Good Attitude
Ability to Study and Fly Uninterrupted for 8 Hours per day.
